Factory Tour.

One of the exercises during my lessons is a tour of the production plant/storage facilities of the company.  This sounds fun at first – until the employees realize they have to show me around while talking English. I was with one of my favourite courses today (to be honest – it seems I only have favourite courses), and the guys gave me a two hours tour of their production plant where they cut, press, mill and weld metal sheets. Not only did they do a great job – it was really interesting, too.

Highlight of the day though were Hartwig and Jan who showed up in the exact same clothes – undeliberately, that is.

Eine der Übungen in meinen Unterrichtsstunden ist eine Tour durch die Werkshalle/die Lagerräume der Firma. Das klingt erstmal nach Spaß – bis die Mitarbeiter realisieren, dass sie mich herumführen und gleichzeitig Englisch reden müssen. Ich war heute bei einem meiner Lieblingskurse (um ehrlich zu sein – ich habe irgendwie nur Lieblingskurse), und die Jungs haben mich zwei Stunden lang durch das Werk geführt, in dem sie Metallbleche schneiden, pressen, fräsen und schweißen. Und sie haben ihre Sache nicht nur sehr gut gemacht – es war auch wirklich interessant.

Das Highlight des Tages waren allerdings Hartwig und Jan, die in exakt den gleichen Klamotten erschienen – unabsichtlich.
