The trees, suddenly wait against the moon’s face.

He died this morning at 4 am, drifting off in his dad’s arms. The last two days had been difficult, and he was almost constantly on morphine. I am somewhat glad that he did not suffer a great deal, but I am also incredibly sad. Solitude is something I am used to, but it’s times like these when I could really use somebody holding me tight.
